REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) is a secure data-management web application for building and managing online surveys and databases. While REDCap can be used to collect virtually any type of data, it is specifically geared to support online or offline data capture for research studies and operations. The REDCap Consortium, a vast support network of collaborators, has nearly 3000 active non-profit and academic institutional partners in 120 countries who utilize and support REDCap in various ways. Its website is https://projectredcap.org. The University of Toronto is a member of the REDCap Consortium; the software is available without charge to Consortium Partners and University of Toronto researchers.
REDCap is made available to the University of Toronto research community in a partnership between Information Technology Services and the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education, sponsored by the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation.
